The Spice Souk is a truly memorable experience, with its narrow streets and scented aroma seemingly transporting the visitor to a bygone era. A wide assortment of spices and herbs are on offer, and the friendly shopkeepers will converse endlessly, providing advice on their merchandise.

Dubai's fish market is also a unique experience, with varieties of fish that the visitor will probably never have seen before. The gutting and cleaning procedures and the continual bargaining will also catch the attention of the tourist. A seafood restaurant and a museum focusing on the local fishing traditions are also found nearby.
